A downloadable game

Download NowName your own price

Jun 10, 2021 - changed asphyx.swf to a downloadable file as major browsers no longer support playing flash in-browser, and added asphyx-source.zip (AS3) with no commentary or documentation included. actually i don't know where the source is. hmm.

file says it was last modified in 2013 but i know i made this game way longer ago than that

honestly pretty embarrassed by some of the opening text, but don't let that stop you from taking the plunge

(remember to hold your breath in real life.)

This unfortunately seems to have been lost to time. I cannot for the life of me find any way to actually play the SWF, browser or no browser. Shame

Ever heard of Flashpoint Infinity? Google it up, I just played this game.

There's the official adobe flash "projector" player, or projects like gnash, ruffle, or supernova (I think the last one isn't open source, if that matters to you)

Oh, is it possible to run .swfs? I will make one available tomorrow (unless I don't for some reason, but I'll put it on my to-do list for the day anyway). I also have the source, so maybe I will post that as well.

done! uploaded! also, is there a particularly good flash-player i could recommend? is the official adobe one fine?

The offical flash "Projector" works fine, there's also open source projects like gnash and (better yet), Ruffle, although their AS3 support is still being worked on!

Holds up to my memories of it from long ago. Still have yet to be disappointed by a Droqen game... Can't decide if I like Probability 0 or Starseed Pilgrim more, I've been playing them since long before The Bundle[TM] and I always find myself coming back to them. I aspire to make games as memorable as these.

I just came from STARSEED PILGRIM which you gave away FOR FREE (essentially) in the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality and just realised you made this gem as well. Honestly, your games are a subconcious part of my childhood. I recognised this the moment I saw it. I also remember all the gameplay videos of people playing your games that eventually got me into watching other indie games, and opening my mind to that world. Thank you for being part of what brought me into game development! And keep doing you, love your stuff. Also, The City is made in Godot? Pretty cool!

<3.

Here's hoping that my individual (tiny) action gets to be part of making a big difference!

It's cool knowing that past works like these are still alive in people's memories and actually did something, so thank you very much for the message. It means a lot. I will keep doing me! Also, it looks like you're also using Godot - I hope it serves you as well as I've found it serves me! Seems like you're able to produce cool stuff with it already :)

woahhh, you're still active..

got stuck underwater with no way to escape. drowned.
so only only a 5/10 from me in the afterlife. :-/

how was the physical sensation? of drowning

It says Adobe Flash is needed to run the game, but I have it in. Help?

Sorry, this is... a browser thing I can't really help with generally :X

Newer browsers have spurned Flash, you'll need to figure out how your particular browser allows you to reenabled it.

Some browsers require you to jump through a lot of hoops.

What's your browser?

Really brilliant idea! An interesting twist on mixed reality. I hope no one suffocated while playing this :)

This is such a cool game

It's not that long, but it makes me feel things, like-- it just makes me happy :')

Keep it up!

Clever. Fun. Interesting!
